Lorde has taken to social media to help her publicly shame a man she claims is stalking her.
In a series of tweets over the weekend, she posted a photos of a paparazzo named Simon Runting, seemingly taken from his Facebook page which she also linked to her followers.
The 17-year-old singer says the man has been "stalking," "photographing" and "refusing [her] privacy." She adds that she feels "scared" of him, and that she refuses to stay "complicit" and "passive" about "men systematically subjecting [her] to extreme fear."

this should not be an accepted standard for young women or anyone in this industry. pic.twitter.com/JYtURQ2Ara— Lorde (@lordemusic) May 4, 2014

i understand that this comes with the territory. i do not understand why I should be complacent.— Lorde (@lordemusic) May 4, 2014
The young star also linked to some photos of Rihanna standing inside her hotel room that Runting took last year. Lorde says that kind of invasion of privacy "should not be an accepted standard for young women or anyone in this industry."
